Sometimes I forget my biggest priority with “working” at TRIAD.
.
It isn’t to make a whole lot of money, to gain notoriety, or become successful later in life. All of those things would be nice, but that’s not why I’m here.
.
It is to enjoy what I do on a day to day basis.
.
Recently I asked myself, “Am I enjoying what I am doing, my work, the day to day right now?”.
.
The honest answer to that at the moment was no...
.
Striving for success in business and pushing my personal limits on how hard I can work is truly enjoyable to me. Sometimes though I get tunnel vision and forget to enjoy the simple tasks and the people around me.
.
When this happens business usually doesn’t do that well either. I’ve got too much stress to to make good decisions, I’m probably not the most fun to be around, and it can effect the morale of the entire team.
.
This is when I need to make sure to take a step back, look at the business and my life as a whole, and work to make my job enjoyable again.
.
This is SO much easier said than done, but I’m sure you can understand the importance of it.
.
When I can get to the point where I am enjoying things again business always starts to move forward.
.
Even if this weren’t the case, I would not want to do what I do if I did not enjoy it. It’s too much work and not enough pay just for a potentially bright future. I know it’s not realistic to enjoy every single moment, but I can say I enjoy pretty close to all of it.
.
Thank you to my team for putting up with me when I’m not exactly having a good time, and for doing a pretty damn good job of helping put me back in a better mood.
