The store front we have always been in was previously a Tom’s Formal Wear. When we signed the lease, it still looked this way with carpet, brown walls, dressing rooms, etc. There was a lot of work to be done to turn it into TRIAD.
.
One thing that needed to happen was building a wall to separate the front from the back that was currently open all the way through. We looked into hiring someone, but it simply didn’t fit into the budget.
.
However, our problem didn’t just go away, a wall needed to be built, and it was ultimately up to us to get it done. There was anyone above us to pass this along to, no corporate handyman to give this project to, no parents to bail us out.
.
So, we hopped on YouTube and learned how to build a wall. We designed what we wanted, bought all the materials, built the frame that extend all the way past the ceiling tiles to the 15ft high actual ceiling, drilled on the sheet rock, mudded, and painted everything ourselves.
.
We did go into business to build walls, and had no idea that this was going to be something we would personally have to deal with. But that’s what we do as a business, we prepare for everything, but still get dealt problems we can’t foresee, look at our options, make a plan, and make sure it gets done.
