Roughly 1 year ago, TRIAD and myself went through a MAJOR change that we have really not talked about until now.
.
I’m not sure how many of you know, but I originally started with two business partners. About four years ago we were all working at Supplement Superstores in Springfield MO, and decided to go into business together. About 1 year later we opened the doors of TRIAD.
.
We saw a lot of success together, but we encountered way more hard times.
.
After about two years of business, both of my partners decided get out of ownership. I want to be clear that they did not leave because they lacked the effort needed to grow this business. Both had other opportunities that they wanted to pursue.
.
First, I am extremely happy to say that I feel that everyone left on good terms.
.
However, while they were leaving I started to question if it was worth it for me to stay or not.
.
This was a turning point for the company. I didn’t want to sit here, spin my wheels, stay safe, and hope that everything would eventually work out. We had been doing a lot of that for 2 years already.
.
I decided to go ALL in, made some big decisions, took some huge risks, and spent a lot more money than we had before. 2018 was going to be the year that we either saw great success, or failed miserably.
.
I’m very happy to say that those risks have worked out for us, but I will NEVER take anywhere close to 100% of the credit. There are have been countless people that have helped us over the years, but a huge portion of the credit will always go to the 2 guys that went all in on this business on day one.
.
They were the ones here in the very beginning when we had days with no customers working harder than I had ever seen anyone work before. However, their true character showed in their last few months. When they both knew that they would be out of ownership soon, they both worked JUST as hard to make sure this business was in good shape for me when they left, for NO PAY.
.
They are still a couple of the smartest, and hardest working guys I have ever met.
.
@vmays6 and @miller6185 , I am eternally grateful for everything you both have done for this business.
