TRIAD is open 78 hours a week.
.
My schedule has always had me on shift at least 40 hours a week, and I have even worked all 78 a time or two.
.
This doesn’t include all the events and back-end work I do either.
.
Three weeks ago my schedule at the store got cut down to 14 hours a week. Seriously, I now only have to be at the store 14 hours a week if I want to.
.
NOW, it is definitely cool to say that, but I really don’t bring it up to brag. There are actually some good and bad parts about this, and I just want to share my experience. I’m sure many of you already know that I’m still here and/or working a lot more than 14 hours a week.
.
So, right about the time Alfonso passed his NASM CPT we hired him on full time, and he took over half of the hours I was working.
.
This is a huge step for me and the business, and we made this decision for two reasons. First, this gives me a ton of time to work on finances, marketing, relationships and other back-end work to grow the business. Second, the store is getting busier and I can hang out when I’m not on shift to help during rushes.
.
However, it turns out when you work 40 to 78 hours a week, you get to know just about every single customer that has ever set foot in the store, and you build a good relationship with all of them.
.
Then when they come in and see an employee that they don’t recognize, it’s harder to trust and take advice from that person.
.
If you are one of these people, I would like to to thank you for trusting me to help you. I’m obviously still around, but I will miss being able to help and work with you as much as I did in the past.
.
I would please ask you put a little trust in other employees here, @trace.thews & @alfonso_lopez are seriously great guys. Listen to what they have to say, and get to know them. We spend a month training all new employees before they take customers, and spend thousands of dollars to get them NASM certified to make sure they are prepared to help you.
.
Overall though, I’m here to make a big difference, and that just simply isn’t possible if I am always here on shift. I’m excited for this next step, what this will bring for TRIAD, and hope that you can understand.
