No boss.
.
That means there’s no one that can tell me I can’t hang out on the couch, eat some food, and drink an energy drink while I’m at work.
.
There’s also no one there making sure I’m using my time wisely, staying productive, or even getting my work done in the first place.
.
If I wanted to go home and do absolutely nothing for a month, I could. I won’t be in trouble with anyone, and no one is going to fire me.
.
However, I still play a pretty big role in this smaller company. If I left for a month right now I would have a ton of upset customers, confused employees, and angry reps. On top of all that, I would also probably have a company on its way to bankruptcy.
.
It is up to me to make sure I am doing my part to not only make sure the company continues to operate, but grow as well.
.
It is in my hands to ensure the success of the company and ultimately my own.
.
So yeah, I got to put a comfy couch in the back of the store, and yeah I get to prop my feet up and chill when I want, but I’m still answering emails, staying productive, and working diligently to grow.
